About Us - leading UK drone light show provider

Drone light show set up at beach

At Star Symphony Drone Shows, we love creating amazing drone light shows. We use the best drone light technology available. Our company founders, Sean Durcan and Andy Hubble, first developed their skills in the world of professional fireworks. They have over 50 years of combined experience delivering stunning shows to international audiences through their firework display company Star Fireworks.

Transitioning into the realm of drone light shows was a natural evolution for us. Fireworks and drones both demand the same disciplines. These include creativity, precision, cutting-edge technology, and artistic vision to craft highly memorable night-time spectacles. Event organisers are looking for greener ways to entertain, so we offer stunning drone shows that don’t come with the usual high cost.

Cost control has always been one of our key goals. For many years, drone light shows were seen as too expensive and unaffordable for most events. We’ve lost count of how many customers have said, “We looked into a drone show a while ago but were shocked by the price.” Even today, you can still find drone companies that will charge eye-watering sums for what can actually be quite a basic service.

Our goal at Star Symphony is simple: produce outstanding drone shows with amazing quality and design, at affordable prices. We want to bring drone shows to communities across the UK, like the show we delivered in Douglas, Isle of Man. We want to offer high quality shows with our unmanned aerial vehicles without the high costs.

Star Symphony crew setting up drone show

Head pilots Sean Durcan and Andy Hubble lead Star Symphony Drone Shows. They manage a skilled team of designers, engineers, and technicians. Together, they create amazing drone light shows. Star Symphony's global experience spans across Necker Island (British Virgin Islands), the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Malta, Germany, and London. We first used pyro drones (drones with pyrotechnics attached) on our drone system in 2023 and now have added the pyro drone capability to our own fleet.

We have a portfolio that includes shows with up to 1,600 drones around the world, and multiple 500 drone shows in the UK. We were one of the first UK drone show companies authorised by the CAA to attach pyrotechnics to our drone swarm. This means that we can fly our display drones with pyros and create spectacular pyrotechnic effects in the sky as part of the design. We keep pushing the limits of innovation and entertainment using the latest technological advancements.

Our show experience includes an awesome Guinness World Records winning drone display in the United Arab Emirates.

Both Sean and Andy already have a widespread experience within the professional fireworks display industry. Sean is a top fireworks display designer and manager. Andy is a consultant for much of the UK industry. Andy has spent 8 years as chairman of the UK fireworks industry trade association and has also served on the Council of the Institute of Explosive Engineers.

We’ve built a skilled, reliable crew to make sure every fireworks display runs smoothly and safely. Our drone light show crews also receive extensive safety training and help deliver a professional job every time. Our teams are trained on our drone technology in house, and specialist roles are trained by the display drone maker.

We’re always working to improve our drone shows, from creating new 3D animations to advancing our use of pyro drones. Staying at the cutting edge of technology is important to us. Our research and development team are committed to bringing the best to our drone shows.
